Regular price $26.00These historically accurate Regency Silk Openwork Stockings have a lovely openwork pattern centered on the front of the leg. The design starts at the toe and goes up to mid-calf. They are thigh high, and are made of a very fine silk knit. Extremely soft, lightweight and comfortable to wear! Very appropriate to the Regency period.
Historical Note: Styles of openwork patterns began to appear in stockings near the beginning of the 19th century. They continued to change and elaborate into the early 20th century. Embroidered openwork and lace inserts in both silk and cotton were seen on many fashionable feet throughout these years.
