The theme of the Spring 2025 Jane Austen Box is “The Springtime London Season”! In this box we will explore the annual, months-long event known as “the Season” that ran from approximately Christmastide through May. Those who were able would leave their country homes and journey to London to stay in their own city homes or stay with relatives and friends in order to participate in the glittering sea of social events, balls, operas, concerts, card party evenings, theater, assemblies, and more! For young people looking to make a good match, a journey to the city was a wonderful way to expand your network of possibilities, such as Catherine Morland in Northanger Abbey or the Dashwood sisters in Sense and Sensibility. The social whirl could be exhausting, but also just the preparations for such a whirl——clothes must be bought for every kind of event, and of course with so much “seeing and being seen” everyone wanted to be dressed in the height of fashion. The Season was especially hectic for the debutantes, but more enjoyable for those already settled in their position in society who could enjoy the change of pace from a more retired country life and have the best cultural opportunities available to them with fine music, art, and theater. Truly, there was something for everyone during this highlight of the year, and people made special efforts to get into “town” for even a little bit of it!

How It Works~ At the beginning of every season, you will receive 7-10 products that have been carefully selected according to the season and that season’s theme. Each season, we will explore one of Jane Austen’s novels or some aspect of Regency life.
What Will I Receive Each Season? ~ In each Jane Austen Box, we feature a range of products from items of historical interest to lovely items you can incorporate in your everyday life, edibles and fine teas to Jane Austen inspired products. All boxes also include some form of book — expand your library!! The Details ~This beautiful, redesigned box is more than twice the size of our previous subscription box, measuring 10x8x4 inches. All Jane Austen Boxes, both subscription and gift options, ship free in the USA! Flat Rate shipping is available for International orders. Also, all subscribers may purchase additional One-Time Gift boxes and receive 10% off each additional box!
The Jane Austen Box will only be available 4 times a year, with the last day to order each season’s box the 15th of the month before the box ships: i.e. August 15th will be the last day to order the Autumn Box, which will ship out in early September. November 15th will be the last day to order the Winter Box, which will ship in early December, etc.
The Quarterly subscription Auto Renews every 3 months~ If you purchase the Quarterly Subscription Jane Austen Box, every 3 months it will auto-renew so you don’t miss a box!! You can change or cancel this at any time before the next billing date, or contact us to change it for you. The Gift Option is a one-time purchase that does not auto-renew.
Note bene: Unlike most items in our shop, The Jane Austen Boxes are all packed and shipped together in bulk 4 times a year. Reserve your box(es) during the month-long reservation period, then we pack and ship them out at the beginning of each season! Free shipping in the USA.
International customers: We do not pay VAT and other duty fees on your behalf. Only the cost of shipping is covered through our shop, so we encourage you to look into your country’s duties/fees, etc. Also, we cannot guarantee delivery times. Generally, international orders arrive within 3 weeks or so of shipping, but there are still delays in international shipping times, please be advised!
