Empress Josephine was a major “influencer” and style setter in the Regency period, the Napoleonic wars notwithstanding! As the Empire period went forward, the simplistic days of the French Revolution were abandoned in favor of Roman Empire-inspired decor, fashion, and over the top celebrations. Though she would not have been familiar with the famous Creme Brûlée dessert, we feel certain Empress Josephine would approve of this tea….

Nota bene: Some loose teas have a volume that is quite different than others. We based our volume in the tins on standard black tea volume, green tea will be less in volume but heavier, and herbal tea may be more volume but less weight, etc.
